Celebrating the life of
Patricia Summerlin Robison
March 08, 1956 - January 04, 2017
Patricia Summerlin Robison
Patricia Summerlin Robison, 60, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2017. Born in Savannah on March 8, 1956. She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Elaine Summerlin Lyon and brother Patrick.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Robison (Kara), her father, William T. Summerlin, siblings, Billy (Laura), Lisa, Shannon (Paula), and Stephanie, and many nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog, Sparkie.
Patti was a graduate of St. Vincent’s Academy, class of 1974, and attended Armstrong State University. She was the first female deputy sheriff in Chatham County and was the top of her class as a sharp shooter. Patti was employed by the Georgia Department of Labor since 2000, and was the Administrative Operations Coordinator III. Patti was an epic cook, a loving sister, a wonderful aunt, a devoted daughter, and an amazing mother to her son, Matthew, and her dogs, Shadow and Sparkie. Patti was very musically talented as well, and was an accomplished pianist. She entertained her family many times with her beautiful voice singing “Summertime.” She had an incredible sense of humor, a brilliant mind and a very kind heart. She lovingly took care of her father, Bill, for many years.
Our hearts are broken that our dear Lord chose to take his faithful servant, Patti, so soon. She was truly loved by so many and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to the Chatham- Savannah Humane Society.

We were friends for too short of time. We became instant friends when we became neighbors and after I moved. Patti was a dear friend and I will miss her a lot. I was away on vacation and didn't get to say goodbye but I feel she was with me on the cruise as I thought of her often. If her dad needs anything as I told Stephanie, I am only around the corner and will be glad to help in any way.

"A friend is someone to whom you can pour the contents of your heart, both chaff and grain together Knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and blow the rest away." Patti was my closest friend, and how I will miss the laughter and girl talk that we shared. She phoned me on New Year's Eve, only a week ago. She Now Dwells In A Fairer Land. This is my second condolence.

Words elude me, because it's almost inconceivable to realize that Patti is gone. She was my neighbor and first friend when I moved to Savannah 11 years ago. She was a blessing to me and everyone she knew. The only comfort I find in her passing, is knowing that she is happy in Heaven with our Savior and free of all earthly cares and challenges. Deepest Condolences To Her Family and all those who knew and loved her. Linda Kay Haase, Savannah, GA
